ABOUT

Grant Shreiner has a passion for soccer, but he despises playing with hot feet. Like most current athletes, he often plays on artificial turf fields, which can reach scorching temperatures and cause discomfort for his feet. He devised a solution: a sock that could lower the temperature of his feet, enhancing his comfort and performance on the field by utilizing an innovative copper

infused performance material. He named it Coppsox, a sock that could benefit athletes that played on hot surfaces.
He presented a version of this idea at his school’s Shark Tank competition, where he brought the idea to light. He recognized the potential of his idea, and he pursued it with determination
With the help of another third party designer; Jackson Hedden, he refined his design, experimented with different materials and mechanisms, and filed a patent for his invention, which is currently pending. Due to the copper infused performance material, heat gets transferred from the foot, travels up the ankle/calf, and is dispersed into the air- providing a cooling affect to the foot- not to mention other common benefits of copper such as anti-bacterial properties and increase in circulation. He also received some assistance from his father, who has expertise in the business world. His father helped him with marketing, branding, and logistics, and together they launched the Coppsox website, where customers can order their own pair of Coppsox and join the cool feet movement.
